Restaurant Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

Al Tawwakal Holdings is seeking a dedicated Restaurant Accountant to manage financial reporting and compliance for its restaurant operations in Karachi. The role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, cost control, and timely tax filing to support profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting: bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Record and monitor sales, expenses, inventory purchases and supplier payments.
• Process payroll, calculate salaries and handle tax deductions in line with regulations.
• Maintain detailed inventory, food and beverage cost records.
• Ensure timely supplier payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (sales tax, income tax).
• Collaborate with management on cost control, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant sector.
• Strong knowledge of local tax laws and accounting standards.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Tally ERP.
• Full‑cycle accounting and bank reconciliation.
