About the role
The Risk & Safeguarding Manager will support UNICEF Pakistan in integrating risk management, social and environmental safeguarding, and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse across programme and operations. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, the role ensures that risks are identified, assessed and mitigated while safeguarding standards are upheld.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the assessment and management of the country’s risk profile.
- Integrate social and environmental safeguarding (SES) and PSEA into operational risk processes.
- Develop, implement and monitor risk‑informed programme plans.
- Provide regular feedback and reporting on risk and safeguarding status to senior management.
- Collaborate with UNICEF staff, external partners and agency counterparts to embed risk and safeguarding considerations in programme design and delivery.
Required profile
- Proven experience in risk management, safeguarding or related fields, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong understanding of UNICEF policies, SES, PSEA and operational risk frameworks (PRM/HACT).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
