Safety & Environmental Specialist – Junior (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Safety & Environmental Specialist supports the factory’s management team in delivering Nestlé’s zero‑accident vision. This junior‑level position works on‑site, coordinating safety and environmental programs, waste‑water treatment, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of the factory’s Safety & Environment (S&E) strategy and align objectives with market and corporate goals.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé policies (NCE, TPM, LEAN, NEMS, NSMS) and local safety and environmental legislation.
• Lead the S&E pillar, manage ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification activities, and support TPM S&E initiatives.
• Oversee wastewater treatment plant operations and solid‑waste management to meet discharge regulations.
• Provide coaching and training to plant managers, contractors, and visitors on S&E standards.
• Maintain accurate S&E performance data, prepare monthly KPIs, and submit reports to the S&E PM and market officer.
• Lead risk‑assessment teams, develop contingency plans, and conduct incident investigations with root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Quality to manage NIMS and build relationships with authorities and other factories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in safety and environmental roles within an industrial setting.
• NEBOSH certification.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence behaviours on the shop‑floor.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with corporate functions.
• Good knowledge of national, state and local legislation and industry codes.
