Screening Specialist – Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment

About the role

The Screening Specialist is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential participants for clinical trials. Working closely with research coordinators, the role involves reviewing patient databases, applying inclusion/exclusion criteria, and conducting outbound outreach to schedule screening visits.

Key responsibilities

• Search patient databases and lead lists to locate eligible trial participants.
• Assess candidates against study inclusion and exclusion criteria.
• Provide clear information about the trial and answer basic questions.
• Schedule qualified participants for screening appointments with research coordinators.
• Document eligibility and interaction details in CRM, EMR, or CTMS systems.
• Track outreach metrics such as call volume, conversion rates, and scheduled visits.
• Maintain a daily target of 150+ outbound calls while ensuring professionalism and accurate records.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with at least one year of internship experience.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical research, call centres, or patient recruitment is preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply screening criteria accurately.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with EMR, CRM, or CTMS systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working remotely with distributed teams (preferred).
