Section Head – Process (Texturizing)

About the role

Gatron (Industries) Limited is looking for an experienced process professional to lead the technical parameters, standards and continuous improvement of polyester textured and drawn yarn production. The Section Head will ensure consistent product quality, higher efficiency and timely resolution of technical issues within the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor technical parameters and SOPs for texturized yarn production.
• Optimize process conditions to improve yarn properties such as elongation, shrinkage, crimp and dye uptake.
• Increase production efficiency, reduce waste and defects, and optimise machine speed, bobbin weight, air and oil consumption.
• Review daily production results and machine data, identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of yarn quality issues, dyeing defects and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with Spinning, Packing, Laboratory, Quality, Maintenance and Product Development teams.
• Ensure timely preventive and predictive maintenance and verify pre‑ and post‑maintenance activities.
• Conduct trials for new products, yarn specifications and process modifications.
• Drive Kaizen initiatives and continuous improvement across the section.
• Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, safety audits and hazard identification.
• Manage workforce deployment, capability development and performance across shifts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum seven years of experience in process or production management, preferably in polyester yarn or textile manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of texturizing processes, product quality inspection, production planning and process improvement.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, cost optimisation and workforce management.
