Security & Loss Prevention Executive

About the role

The Security & Loss Prevention Executive acts as the duty manager for security in the absence of the department manager, ensuring the safety of assets, personnel, and operations across METRO wholesale stores and warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all security and loss‑prevention activities with store and warehouse teams.
• Deploy and supervise security guards, monitor perimeter protection, and conduct risk assessments.
• Report security and safety incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with operational SOPs, OHS policies, and gate‑pass procedures.
• Conduct inventory surveillance, surprise checks, and verify bulk sales against invoices.
• Manage internal consumption controls and stock correction reporting.
• Provide training to security staff on post orders, stock handling, and cash handling procedures.

Required profile

• Intermediate or Matric qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant security or loss‑prevention experience.
• Ability to prepare incident reports and conduct risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of SOP implementation and compliance monitoring.
