Security Guard

About the role

The primary function of the Security Guard is to screen all personnel and beneficiaries visiting health facilities and to carry out surveillance and guarding activities in IMC facilities. The role follows IMC security protocols to ensure the safety of mission personnel, assets, and premises.

Key responsibilities

• Check and control access, allowing only authorized people and IMC staff into buildings.
• Maintain a logbook of entries and report any security‑related events to the guard supervisor.
• Patrol the assigned compound according to the work schedule and remain vigilant at all times.
• Ensure security lights are on at sunset and off at sunrise, and verify that doors are locked after staff leave.
• Record movement of IMC property and prevent unauthorized removal of assets.
• Inform the supervisor immediately of any missing items or unauthorized entry.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience providing security services.
• Good physical stamina and health to perform duties.
• Ability to follow hygiene practices and security protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to prioritize work, multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and meet schedules.
• Fluency in written and spoken language as required for the position.
