Security Researcher – Remote Vulnerability Researcher

About the role

We are seeking a remote Security Researcher to join a leading technology organization. The role focuses on discovering, analyzing, and mitigating software vulnerabilities across critical systems, helping to protect products used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced vulnerability research on codebases, APIs, and infrastructure components.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept exploits to validate findings and assess impact.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement security patches and mitigations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, attack vectors, and security trends.
• Document research results in technical reports and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with distributed engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of operating‑system internals (Linux/Windows) and memory‑corruption techniques.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C, C++, Python, Go.
• Reverse‑engineering tools: IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja.
• Fuzzing frameworks: AFL, LibFuzzer, Honggfuzz.
• Static and dynamic analysis tools: Coverity, Fortify, Valgrind.
• Knowledge of vulnerability classes such as buffer overflows, race conditions, and logic flaws.
• Experience analyzing network protocols for security weaknesses.
