Security & Safety Department Manager

About the role

The Department Manager Security & Safety ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and store security directives. The role drives continuous improvement of security measures and safeguards the wholesale centre against theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate SOPs, directives, and management instructions related to occupational health & safety and store security.
• Manage and continuously improve security measures addressing shoplifting, theft, pilferage, robbery, fraud, trespassing, vandalism, and other criminal threats.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses, report concerns, and develop proactive solutions to protect store interests.
• Keep the RM Security and Store Manager informed of incidents or activities that could affect corporate interests.
• Oversee deployment, duty rosters, shift management, and attendance of third‑party security staff.
• Identify operational SOP gaps, report them, and propose remedial or corrective actions.
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers on all security‑related matters.
