Senior AI & Data Engineer – Strategy & Operational Intelligence

About the role

PackageX is seeking a senior AI & Data Engineer to turn raw operational data into strategic insights and production‑ready machine‑learning services. You will work across platform, customer, and warehouse data to uncover hidden patterns, build models, and deliver actionable intelligence to leadership and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define business problems, success metrics, and product roadmaps for data‑science initiatives.
• Mine large operational datasets to detect fee anomalies, cost drivers, and cross‑domain correlations.
• Design, train, and deploy NLP and predictive‑analytics models using TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and data models.
• Expose data services via RESTful APIs (Django/Flask) on AWS or GCP with Docker and CI/CD.
• Create analytics dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) and present insights to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a data scientist, ML engineer, or data engineer delivering production‑grade systems.
• Strong communication skills with business leaders and product teams.
• Proactive, self‑directed mindset; comfortable shaping structure in fast‑moving environments.
• Curiosity about logistics, supply‑chain and warehousing operations.

Required skills

• Python (Pandas, NumPy) and advanced SQL.
• TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and deep‑learning/NLP techniques.
• Django, Flask, RESTful API development.
• Data‑warehousing, ETL pipeline design, relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MongoDB).
• GitHub, AWS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD tooling.
• Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn for visualization.
