About the role
PwC is seeking a Senior Associate in its Tax Dispute Resolution team in Karachi. The role involves providing tax advisory services, handling disputes, and supporting corporate clients with complex tax matters.
Key responsibilities
- Assist managers and senior managers in addressing tax issues for corporate clients.
- Draft responses to tax notices and communications.
- Prepare and file appeal papers before appellate authorities.
- Submit appeal arguments and represent clients in tax dispute proceedings.
- Advise clients on day‑to‑day queries related to Income Tax, Sales Tax, Provincial Services Tax, Customs Duty and Federal Excise Duty.
Required profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAP).
- 3–4 years of relevant tax experience.
Required skills
- Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS).
- Corporate tax planning.
- Business tax and tax returns preparation.
- Controlled foreign companies tax compliance.
- Domestic restructuring (tax).
- Integrated global structuring.
- Income tax provisions.
