Senior Backend Developer (FastAPI)

About the role

We are seeking a senior backend developer with deep expertise in FastAPI to join our Islamabad team. The role focuses on building high‑performance, scalable services that power our core products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Create and manage GraphQL endpoints with frameworks such as Strawberry, Ariadne or Graphene.
• Define optimized database schemas for both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) stores.
• Write clean, testable code and implement unit and integration tests.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
• Hands‑on experience with GraphQL and micro‑service architectures.
• Proven ability to work with relational and document databases.
• Experience with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
