Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

Darkthorn Labs is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join its Lahore office. You will design and develop scalable applications, work closely with cross‑functional teams, and help deliver high‑quality software solutions that drive business productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python.
• Develop and optimise front‑end components with React where needed.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless integration of front‑end and back‑end components.
• Maintain code quality, perform debugging, and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Node.js or Python.
• Strong back‑end web development skills, especially with Node.js.
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Experience with TypeScript, SQL and NoSQL databases, and Linux environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
