Senior Consultant, Finance Governance & FAAS

About the role

EY FAAS is looking for an experienced professional to join its team in Karachi and support delivery teams with subject matter expertise in Finance Transformation solutions. The Senior will support a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of work according to EY Global Standards, while also supporting EY practices and clients across the MENA region and travelling to other countries for client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners to execute a FAAS strategy and support planning, budgeting, execution and delivery of engagements.
• Develop client-focused, clear and accurate work products and respond to client needs and expectations.
• Execute finance transformation engagements using the Global Service Delivery framework, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with EY standards.
• Take part in meetings and interviews with client personnel and manage fieldwork progress and engagement status.
• Review existing finance processes, recommend improvements and implement operational changes.
• Help define a finance target operating model, business and process models, and the finance technology strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Design the finance performance management system, including metrics, KPIs and benchmarks.
• Support technology-led finance transformation projects, new service offerings, proposals and the creation of new services, tools and materials.
• Manage time against budget constraints and interface with all levels of management internally and with clients.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA (UK) with 4 to 6 years of experience in Assurance, including 3 to 5 years in financial accounting and advisory or consulting, preferably in a Big 4 firm.
• Demonstrated experience in finance transformation projects, including performance management, process improvement, operating model design and ERP implementation.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting concepts, applied with independent professional judgment.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Required skills

• Strong preference for experience with IT systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Knowledge of R2R, P2P, O2C, P2P, A2D and H2R processes.
• Project management under tight deadlines and effective written and verbal communication.
