Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

KalSoft is looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join its team. The role suits professionals with strong expertise in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, OT/IoT Security, Security Architecture and Risk Management. The engineer implements enterprise security solutions, manages security risks, ensures regulatory compliance and strengthens organisational cyber resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity solutions across enterprise, cloud and OT/IoT environments
• Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability management
• Develop secure architectures and apply secure-by-design principles
• Manage threat detection, incident response and ransomware resilience
• Protect cloud workloads, critical systems and sensitive enterprise data
• Implement security controls aligned with industry standards and compliance frameworks
• Collaborate with engineering, IT and business teams to strengthen security
• Support security governance, data privacy and continuous security improvement

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security
• Strong expertise in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security and OT/IoT Security
• Hands-on experience in penetration testing, risk assessment and vulnerability management
• Experience securing enterprise systems, cloud workloads and critical infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related field
• Preferred: experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, government, energy, oil and gas, manufacturing

Required skills

• Incident response, ransomware resilience and data privacy
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, AI RMF, HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, FISMA, FedRAMP, OWASP and ISA/IEC 62443
• Preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CEH, OSCP or equivalent certifications; Generative AI security and AI risk management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
