Senior Deputy Manager – Finance

About the role

The Senior Deputy Manager – Finance leads financial planning, business analysis, investment evaluation and corporate reporting activities. This role provides strategic financial insights to support growth, capital allocation and overall organisational performance while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and evaluation of business plans, strategic initiatives and expansion opportunities.
• Develop and oversee complex financial models for valuation, forecasting, scenario planning and strategic decision‑making.
• Conduct investment appraisals, feasibility studies and financial due diligence for new projects and ventures.
• Evaluate CAPEX proposals using ROI, IRR, NPV, payback period and risk assessments.
• Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities to ensure timely completion.
• Lead preparation and submission of group reporting packages, meeting corporate reporting timelines.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, delivering actionable insights to senior management.
• Partner with business leaders on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Present financial analyses and recommendations to support key business decisions.
• Drive improvements in reporting, planning processes and management information systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, statutory requirements and audit standards.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors and other stakeholders on financial matters.
• Mentor and develop finance team members while promoting best practices.

Required profile

• CA or ACCA finalist.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in the corporate sector.
• Strong financial governance, compliance and internal control expertise.
• Hands‑on experience in financial statement and ratio analysis.
• Proven ability to deliver actionable financial insights that drive growth and profitability.
• Excellent communication skills.
