Senior Executive – Taxation

About the role

The Senior Executive – Taxation will lead the preparation, filing and compliance of corporate income tax and sales tax across multiple jurisdictions in Pakistan. You will work closely with finance, admin, AP and marketing teams as well as external consultants to ensure accurate tax reporting and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate income tax returns and related schedules under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns for FBR, SRB, PRA, KPK and AJK regimes.
• Compute monthly, quarterly and annual current and deferred tax liabilities.
• Manage tax provisions, accruals and reconciliation of all taxes paid for financial reporting.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and lawyers on complex tax matters.
• Provide tax advice to Admin, AP and Marketing departments for payment processing.
• Prepare quarterly advance tax payments under section 147 and handle dividend/bonus tax payments.
• Review zakat payments, issue tax certificates to employees and support special projects.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a tax firm, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Graduation or master’s degree in Accounting & Finance or ACCA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of income tax and sales tax laws, regulations and filing requirements in Pakistan.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
