Senior Internal Auditor - Financial Compliance & Risk Management

About the role

HITEC University Taxila is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor focused on financial compliance and risk management. The auditor conducts thorough financial audits and data analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, identifies discrepancies, evaluates internal controls and recommends process improvements that safeguard assets and promote operational efficiency. The role is independent, without managing a team, and involves working closely with senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial audits of statements, operations and compliance to identify risks, discrepancies and areas for improvement.
• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls to protect assets and improve efficiency.
• Analyze financial data and audit reports to detect inconsistencies, irregularities or potential risks.
• Develop and present clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen financial processes and reduce risk.
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings and deliver them to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with other departments on audit compliance, risk management and process improvements.
• Monitor follow-up actions on audit recommendations to verify their effectiveness.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information and audit materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least three years of auditing experience, preferably within an educational institution.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to work confidentially and collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in financial database management tools.
