Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer II

About the role

Careem is seeking a hands‑on Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and maintain network, server, voice and end‑user management infrastructure across its offices and data centre. The role blends deep technical expertise with clear communication to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and manage office networks using Cisco Meraki, MPLS and Peplink SD‑WAN solutions.
• Administer data‑center server clusters, VMware virtualization environments and backup/recovery processes.
• Configure and support voice gateways (SIP/PRI) and contact‑center telephony infrastructure.
• Manage MDM platforms (JumpCloud, Microsoft Autopilot, Apple Business Manager), Zscaler, and Google Workspace for device and identity management.
• Lead client‑engineering initiatives, SSO implementation and API‑based system integrations.
• Identify AI‑driven automation opportunities, build scripts and integrate AI tools to streamline IT operations.
• Apply ITIL principles to incident, problem, change and request management and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki network administration and MPLS/WAN management.
• Strong background in VMware virtualization and data‑center server administration.
• Experience with Peplink SD‑WAN, voice gateway technologies and contact‑center infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of MDM tools, Zscaler, Google Workspace and domain/SSL management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and AI/automation tooling.
