Senior JS Engineer (Backend Focused)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join a fast‑growing early‑stage startup. The role is heavily backend‑oriented, allowing you to design clean architectures, build reliable APIs, and own end‑to‑end systems while contributing to frontend features when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain stateful workflow and case‑management systems.
• Build scalable backend services and API layers using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Develop secure credential vaulting and configuration management.
• Integrate third‑party platforms such as payments, voice, and document services.
• Create billing, reconciliation, and commission workflows.
• Implement webhook/event routing and workflow automation.
• Contribute to frontend features with modern React/Next.js technologies.
• Ensure SOC 2‑focused audit logging, compliance, and operational reliability.

Required profile

• Engineers who think beyond endpoints and understand systems design.
• Strong ownership mindset with production engineering experience.

• Comfortable working in a high‑impact, fast‑paced startup environment.
• Available for 3–4 hours of overlap with Eastern Time Zone working hours.
