Senior Manager – Student Housing

About the role

The Senior Manager/Manager of Student Housing provides strategic leadership for on‑campus and off‑campus student residences, ensuring a safe, inclusive and development‑focused living environment that supports student wellbeing and academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a new student leadership programme that promotes wellbeing, belonging and personal development.
• Provide senior oversight of all student housing operations, ensuring consistency, quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Establish and uphold community standards, acting as a senior resource for complex student concerns and conflict resolution.
• Strengthen emergency preparedness and response protocols in coordination with counselling, health, security and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Student Affairs and university leadership to plan future housing needs, including development of new off‑campus housing.
• Oversee capital and operational budgets, ensuring responsible financial management and sustainability.
• Develop, review and implement housing policies aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and develop housing staff, partnering across the university to deliver a cohesive student experience.

Required profile

• Master’s degree required in Student Affairs, Higher Education or a related field.
