Senior Product Owner – Portfolio and Proposition

About the role

The Senior Product Owner will lead the strategy, development and lifecycle management of deposit products and propositions, aligning them with the bank’s overall strategy. This role focuses on market trends, customer needs and profitability while ensuring compliance and a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy for deposit products, identifying market trends and competitive offerings.
• Develop new deposit products or enhance existing ones to improve customer value and profitability.
• Monitor product-level profitability, prepare financial forecasts and optimize pricing and interest rate structures.
• Ensure products meet customer needs, collaborate with marketing and service teams, and address customer complaints.
• Design and refine Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) for various segments, benchmark against competitors and drive cross‑squad delivery.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and manage operational, financial and model risks.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, adjust product features or pricing as needed.
• Launch segment‑specific CVPs for retailers, freelancers, schools, software houses, agriculture and women entrepreneurs.
• Drive customer growth through acquisition, retention, loyalty programs and data‑driven lifecycle strategies.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities, develop bundled offerings and track performance metrics.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with IT, operations, compliance, legal and marketing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product, portfolio and lifecycle management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with data‑driven decision making.
• In‑depth knowledge of digital banking trends, technologies and customer behaviours.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
