Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master

About the role

Encode is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master to keep delivery moving and ensure the development team works smoothly. You will translate product road‑maps into shipped software by planning, coordinating, and facilitating agile ceremonies while protecting the team’s focus.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies – sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives.
• Remove impediments and shield the team from disruptions.
• Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices and raise maturity.
• Plan and coordinate delivery across timelines, dependencies, capacity, and risks.
• Ensure UI concepts and refined stories are ready before sprint planning.
• Track sprint progress and delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time) and report transparently.
• Maintain Jira and Confluence as the single source of truth.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to translate roadmap themes into deliverable increments.
• Coordinate hand‑off between UX and development to avoid misinterpretations.
• Apply Lean principles: visualize workflow, break large tasks, eliminate bottlenecks, limit overload.

Required profile

• Completed university degree.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master.
• Senior‑level expertise with proven delivery of software projects.
• Willingness to work hours that substantially overlap with German CET/CEST business hours.
