Senior QA Automation

About the role

The Senior QA Automation Lead will own the quality assurance strategy across a SaaS product ecosystem for heavy equipment and industrial workflows. Reporting to the CTO, you will design and scale automation frameworks while guiding a team of QA engineers to deliver fast, predictable, high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the overall QA strategy, quality standards, and roadmap.
• Build and maintain a scalable automation framework for Web UI (React + Next.js), mobile (React Native iOS & Android) using Appium/Detox, and API services built with Node.js.
• Lead the transition toward an automation‑first culture with strong regression coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Define structured test processes, defect workflows, and release readiness checkpoints.
• Implement automated reporting, test dashboards, and quality KPIs.
• Mentor and upskill manual and automation QA engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering leads to improve code quality, test coverage, and system reliability.
• Ensure quality is built into the development process from the start rather than inspected at the end.
• Support continuous improvement in product performance and stability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation, preferably in SaaS or industrial domains.
• Relevant degree (IT management, software development, computer engineering, or related field) is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with an ownership mindset.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and designers.
• Experience documenting, teaching, and handing over automation frameworks.

Required skills

• Playwright or Cypress for web UI testing.
• React / Next.js testing expertise.
• Mobile automation using Appium or Detox.
• API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Supertest, Insomnia.
• CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Reporting tools like Allure, ReportPortal, Extent Reports.
• Building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Node.js service testing.
