Senior RAG Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior RAG Engineer to join our AI team in Islamabad. You will lead the research, design, implementation, and validation of cutting‑edge algorithms across computer vision, natural language processing, deep learning, and generative AI.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, conceptualize and prototype novel AI models for vision and language tasks.
• Design, implement and validate end‑to‑end pipelines using multi‑layer neural networks such as CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, encoders and transformers.
• Develop backend APIs with Python frameworks (FastAPI or Flask) to serve AI services.
• Integrate Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, LlamaIndex and vector databases with open‑source LLMs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate research outcomes into production‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (part‑time master’s candidates welcome).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data‑science libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn).
• Deep understanding of NLP fundamentals, Large Language Models and generative AI.
• Experience building backend services using FastAPI or Flask.
