Senior Software Engineer - Backend

About the role

Dubizzle Labs is expanding its Pakistan office and seeks a senior backend engineer who loves learning, mentoring, and delivering high‑impact products across ten countries. You will help shape the technical vision, guide a high‑performing team, and ensure the delivery of scalable, high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build world‑class backend services supporting hyper‑growth across multiple markets.
• Mentor and lead engineers, setting coding standards, best practices, and realistic goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, UX, infrastructure, and strategy teams to deliver top‑quality products.
• Drive hiring of A‑players and develop future technical leaders.
• Own business KPIs, aligning technical decisions with product and business objectives.
• Promote and enforce company‑wide coding guidelines, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with high‑traffic, large‑scale web applications.
• Proven ability to balance technical ambition with business goals.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, or XP.
