Senior Valuations and Business Modeling

About the role

EY Parthenon in Karachi is hiring a Senior Valuations and Business Modeling professional to join the VME team. The team supports clients on transaction and non-transaction decisions such as strategic planning, value creation, financial reporting and market valuation. The firm offers a full suite of valuation, modeling and economic advisory solutions across Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction, corporate business modeling, government public sector, economic advisory, decision analytics and capital equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities
• Understand the key business drivers, co-develop the approach with the client, agree value measurements and give advice backed by insights and factual conclusions
• Contribute technically to client engagements and internal projects by researching and analysing the target business, its market and quoted competitors
• Plan, prepare and review deliverables such as Excel data books, written reports, presentations and client discussions
• Support junior team members, coach others, take responsibility for your own learning and take part in upward feedback

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business
• At least 3-5 years of related business valuation experience
• Experience performing multiple business valuations (DCF, Guideline Public Companies Method and Precedent Transactions), purchase price allocations and complex financial models including debt financing, plus feasibility studies and review of third-party appraisal reports
• Understanding of complex valuation fundamentals (discounts and premiums, option pricing models, PWERM, intangible asset valuation)
• Broad understanding of IFRS standards on fair value, business combinations and impairment testing
• Ideally: Big Four or similar valuation and modelling experience, progress toward CFA or another professional certification, knowledge of the GCC/MENA market and Arabic (preferred but not mandatory)
