SEO & AEO Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an analytically sharp and creatively driven SEO & AEO Specialist to own TCF’s search presence across traditional and AI‑powered platforms. The role sits at the intersection of content strategy, technical SEO and emerging answer‑engine optimisation, helping donors and supporters find us on Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and other search interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an end‑to‑end SEO strategy for all digital properties, focusing on donor acquisition and brand visibility.
• Conduct keyword research to uncover high‑intent, high‑volume opportunities across global markets.
• Perform regular technical SEO audits (site speed, crawlability, indexation, schema markup) and coordinate fixes with the web team.
• Lead Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to surface content in AI‑driven search results, including featured snippets, knowledge panels and AI‑generated answers.
• Write, edit and optimise web content, landing pages and blog posts for both traditional search and AEO performance.
• Track organic performance using GA4, Google Search Console and SEMrush, generate reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with digital analysts, content creators and web developers to align traffic data with conversion and donation outcomes.

• Understanding that modern search is about delivering answers, not just rankings.
• Willingness to stay ahead of generative AI search trends and continuously adapt strategies.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing SEO‑friendly copy with AI assistance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SEMrush, Google Search Console and GA4.
• Deep knowledge of technical SEO, including crawl management, Core Web Vitals and schema markup.
• Experience or strong interest in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and generative search.
