Shift Incharge – Mechanical Maintenance (Shift Based)

About the role

Amreli Steels is seeking a Shift Incharge for Mechanical Maintenance to lead plant maintenance activities on a shift basis. The role ensures the reliability and availability of critical mechanical equipment in the Dhabeji facility, supporting continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for gear boxes, pumps, overhead cranes, cooling towers, compressors, and hydraulic machinery.
• Develop and submit failure analysis reports and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare shift reports, history cards, checklists, and downtime analysis documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure junior staff understand safety procedures.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize plant uptime.
• Organize and conduct weekly training sessions for the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within plant and utilities environments.
• Proven ability to work in rotating shifts.

Required skills

• Maintenance of gear boxes, pumps, overhead cranes, cooling towers, compressors, hydraulic machinery.
