Shift Manager - Foods

About the role

Unilever is hiring a Shift Manager for its Foods factory in Lahore. The role sits within the Procurement function, reports to the Operations Manager and covers the local site. It is a full-time position focused on driving manufacturing operations to meet agreed targets on volume, cost, safety, quality and other KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan making and packing operations on the floor to achieve shift targets in volume, quality, output reliability, cost and safety.
• Receive chemical and packaging materials.
• Organize and control labor (operators, technicians and contract staff) by numbers and skills.
• Monitor material consumption and yield, reduce waste and minimize material variance through optimal use of chemicals and packaging and accurate records.
• Supervise weekly and monthly stock counts and Fourth Shift transactions.
• Ensure workers wear appropriate personal protective clothing and follow safety, health and environmental rules.
• Drive autonomous maintenance activities on the shop floor.
• Support best practices such as TPM and HACCP, and implement audit recommendations.
• Identify skill gaps and organize worker training, and continuously improve operations through process development.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Operations/Production in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
• Leadership qualities: passion for high performance, personal mastery, consumer focus, humility and agility.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of HSET.
• Technically sound approach and passion for engineering.
