SOC L2 Analyst – Healthcare Security

About the role

As a Level 2 SOC Analyst you will safeguard the organization’s information systems, focusing on healthcare compliance, implementing security measures, managing incidents, and protecting cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, XDR tools (e.g., Azure Cloud Defender).
• Provide initial analysis and response to incidents such as phishing, malware, and network breaches.
• Monitor endpoints, manage Windows processes, event logs, Sysmon, and detection tools.
• Collect, analyze, and correlate security data for investigation and response.
• Assist senior analysts with containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
• Document incidents, track activities, and produce reports.
• Review critical asset logs periodically to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cyber Security.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT security.
• Understanding of cloud‑based IT infrastructure and incident management processes.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MS Azure Cloud Defender, ManageEngine, or Cloudflare.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, or XDR solutions.
• Knowledge of basic IT security concepts and incident management.
• Preferred certifications: CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP.
