Software Engineer - Backend (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer on a contract basis to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for high‑performance applications. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks and tools.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for global users.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
