Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join an e‑commerce team that powers high‑traffic, real‑time user experiences worldwide. The position is fully remote and ideal for recent graduates eager to build scalable backend services in a fast‑moving technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain distributed backend services that handle large volumes of e‑commerce traffic.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to deliver new features.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a cross‑functional team.
• Passion for solving complex technical problems at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, microservices and cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
