Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring a Software Engineer for a leading global financial services firm to build and maintain core financial platforms. The role is fully remote and focuses on developing scalable backend services that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement robust security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software‑engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems, payment processing, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range $180,000 – $230,000 per year.
