Software Engineer, Micro Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable micro platforms that power core business services. This fully remote position is with a global leader in technology, information and internet, offering the chance to influence architecture and drive innovation in a distributed‑system environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain micro platforms that are scalable, performant, and reliable.
• Implement and optimise backend services using modern development practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across distributed systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
