Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BlueKnight is seeking a full‑time remote Software Engineer to help build and enhance its M&A research and workflow platform. You will work with a cross‑functional team to create highly scalable back‑end systems that accelerate deal research for M&A professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end software solutions that improve platform functionality.
• Collaborate with product, data, and UI teams to deliver scalable, efficient services.
• Implement programming best practices, write clean code, and ensure high code quality through testing and debugging.
• Optimize performance and reliability to meet the evolving needs of M&A users.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience in back‑end web development and general software development.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming and ability to produce well‑documented code.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort working collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with M&A industry workflows is a plus.
