Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of our software applications used across academic and administrative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and design manual and automated test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects to resolution.
• Validate data using SQL queries and database-level checks.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Strong understanding of QA principles, STLC, and SDLC.
• Proven experience in manual testing and test case development.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Selenium, Playwright or Cypress for test automation.
• Postman for API testing.
• Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps or TestLink for defect tracking and test management.
• SQL for database validation.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines.
