Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of web, mobile and API‑based applications through both manual and automated testing. The role focuses on building robust automation frameworks and integrating tests into continuous integration pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web, mobile, and API‑based applications.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using modern tools and technologies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Conduct API testing and validate backend systems using database queries.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of API testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Katalon Studio (or similar automation tools)
• Postman, SoapUI (API testing tools)
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD
• Programming/scripting languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy
• Test management and defect tracking tools: Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla
• SQL for database testing
