Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to manually test our AI‑powered desktop applications built on .NET for Windows 10/11. The position is fully remote, works full‑time on US Central Time hours, and collaborates closely with product and engineering teams to ensure a flawless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Derive new test cases from product specifications, UI walkthroughs, or hands‑on exploration.
• Document test cases in structured CSV or spreadsheet formats with clear steps, expected outcomes, and pass/fail criteria.
• Refine AI‑generated test plans by removing redundancies, adding edge cases, and improving expected outcomes.
• Lead the refinement process and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Write detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, severity, screenshots, and log captures.
• Validate complex UI patterns such as multi‑window interfaces, drag‑and‑drop, modal dialogs, system‑tray behavior, and installer flows.
• Test platform‑specific features including Windows Shell Extensions, registry interactions, and NSIS installers.
• Verify integration with MS365 and Outlook (both classic and modern versions).
• Collaborate using Microsoft Teams and GitLab for issue tracking and communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of manual testing experience on desktop applications.
• Access to Windows 10/11 machines for testing.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, BYOD environment.
