Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Testing)

The role ensures high-quality software delivery through meticulous manual testing and technical expertise, covering web applications and collaborating closely with development teams to find and fix defects. It suits someone with over five years of hands-on QA experience, specializing in manual testing, with a working knowledge of automation tools and scripting basics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications against requirements.
• Develop, document and run detailed test cases, scenarios and regression test suites.
• Run functional, integration, regression and API tests to validate features and performance.
• Identify, report, document and track defects until they are resolved, keeping developers informed.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.
• Support the design and implementation of test automation initiatives.
• Use Postman to test web services and backend integrations, and perform SQL and database testing for data integrity.
• Manage test planning and execution independently to ensure full coverage.
• Work in Agile environments, taking part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Write basic automation scripts and support frameworks with tools such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.

Required profile

• Over five years of hands-on software quality assurance experience.
• Specialization in manual testing, with working knowledge of automation tools and scripting basics.
• Understanding of the SDLC, STLC and QA methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and cover all aspects of testing thoroughly.

Required skills
