Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer

About the role

EvolveDash is seeking a fresh‑graduate Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that web, mobile and AI products meet quality standards before delivery to clients. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in manual testing and exposure to test automation.

Key responsibilities

• Study requirements, user stories and designs to create test scenarios and cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI and cross‑browser/device testing on web and mobile applications.
• Log clear bug reports with steps, screenshots and severity in Jira or similar tools.
• Retest fixes, run regression checks and verify API responses using Postman.
• Maintain up‑to‑date test cases, checklists and test reports.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups and release reviews with the development team.
• Gradually learn and support test automation using Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field (fresh graduates welcome).
• 0‑1 year experience in software testing or QA (internships, projects count).
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC and bug life‑cycle.
• Strong written and spoken English, attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Manual testing techniques: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, black‑box, boundary‑value.
• Bug tracking tools such as Jira or TestRail.
• API testing with Postman.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with web and mobile app concepts.
• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and basic programming in JavaScript, Python or Java.
