Solution Architect

About the role

Ellinoix is hiring a Solution Architect in Lahore, Pakistan, working on-site in the office. The role leads the end-to-end architecture of complex, scalable, secure and maintainable systems, including those using Redis or Valkey, and works with global teams during US evening hours (7:00 PM - 3:00 AM).

Key responsibilities

• Define target architectures, integration patterns, data flows, technology standards and deployment models for cloud, containerized and hybrid environments.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, design decisions, technical specifications and roadmaps.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, frameworks and vendors through analysis and proof of concept, and embed security, identity and access management, encryption and threat mitigation into designs.
• Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, review designs and guide development teams on design patterns, APIs, databases, caching and performance.
• Identify architectural risks, constraints and technical debt and partner with global teams on design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, systems design or senior application development.
• Demonstrated experience designing medium- to large-scale applications in cloud, containerized, distributed or hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems and distributed computing.
• Ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences and influence decisions across teams.

Required skills

• Application development with Java, Python or comparable languages and frameworks.
• Relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL, with data modelling.
• AWS cloud architecture; Azure or Google Cloud is an asset.
• Containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and DevSecOps.
• Secure architecture, privacy, IAM, encryption and vulnerability management.
• An architecture or cloud certification (e.g. TOGAF or AWS) is an asset.
