Solution Architect – Retail Banking (Pakistan)

About the role

The Solution Architect will design and review optimal solution approaches for Retail Banking Group initiatives, ensuring alignment between business requirements and the enterprise technology strategy. The role works across agile squads and waterfall‑managed systems of record, collaborating with business, product, engineering and technology teams to deliver value‑driven outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and design solutions that meet evolving business needs.
• Ensure architectural governance and adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Review and support engineering teams in building robust, scalable products and platforms.
• Drive adoption of APIs and microservices for partner integrations, open‑banking and internal service orchestration.
• Promote reusability and extensibility across retail platforms to accelerate delivery.
• Recommend and oversee modernization initiatives for retail banking.
• Guide development teams on security architecture and standards for customer‑facing applications.
• Embed non‑functional requirements such as performance, availability and scalability into all designs.
• Collaborate with agile delivery models, product, engineering and operations to ensure timely, scalable delivery.
• Maintain a technology radar to track emerging trends and recommend innovations.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture roadmaps from a retail perspective.

Required profile

• 15+ years of application development experience.
• 5+ years in a Solution Architecture role.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture standards and governance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams in both agile and waterfall environments.
• Experience guiding modernization and API‑centric initiatives in retail banking.
