Sports Teacher

About the role

The school is looking for an enthusiastic Sports Teacher to design, deliver and oversee physical education programmes for students across different age groups. You will teach fundamental sports skills, promote a culture of fitness and teamwork, and ensure a safe environment throughout all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and conduct physical education lessons and sports activities.
• Develop engaging programmes tailored to varying ages and skill levels.
• Teach fundamental skills, strategies and rules of multiple sports.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance and progress.
• Foster teamwork, sportsmanship and a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness.
• Maintain safety standards and supervise students during all activities.
• Organise sports events, tournaments and inter‑school competitions.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, ensuring availability and safety.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate physical activity into broader curricula.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a Sports Teacher or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field.
• Teaching certification or relevant licensure is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of sports, PE strategies and training techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team of educators and coaches.
• First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
