Staff Accountant (Microsoft Dynamics F&O)

About the role

Contour Software, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. and a provider of continuing professional education services (InReach), is looking for a Staff Accountant to maintain its financial records. The role works closely with the existing team to create and analyse financial reports, takes part in month-end processes and performs reconciliations and journal entries. It is an onsite position with shift timings from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete postings within Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations (F&O)
• Prepare financial statements for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with high accuracy
• Prepare bank reconciliations and adjust them
• Maintain prepaid expenses, fixed assets and lease schedules, and post related journal entries
• Reconcile AP and AR sub-ledgers to the General Ledger
• Update and post monthly and quarterly expense and income accruals, including sales commission accruals and payouts
• Resolve inter-company variances and prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary
• Assist with quarterly disclosure reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain financial records in line with IFRS and meet internal and external deadlines
• Improve accounting processes, undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Finalist or part-qualified Professional Accountant, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
• Strong verbal and written communication, organisational and time-management skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations accounting software
• Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Understanding of AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot
