Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Techwards is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of high‑performance backend services. You will work on distributed systems, mentor teammates, and help shape the technical architecture of our AI‑focused products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale robust backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for mission‑critical applications.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable releases.
• Optionally integrate LLM‑based features or AI agent frameworks such as MCP and CrewAI.
• Contribute to ETL pipeline development and data‑flow optimization when needed.
• Assist with frontend tasks using ReactJS on an as‑required basis.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of professional backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team.
