SysOps Administrator

About the role

Pixalate is looking for a SysOps Administrator to manage and optimise its AWS and GCP cloud environments. The role is fully remote, supporting a global engineering team and ensuring high‑availability, security, and cost‑efficiency of cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, fine‑tune, and monitor AWS and GCP infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Stackdriver and related services.
• Maintain CI pipelines, implement configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, BitBucket Pipelines) and support production applications.
• Manage disaster recovery, data backups, software upgrades, and kernel patching.
• Develop and own release processes across all environments and continuously improve infrastructure practices.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working alongside engineering teams.
• Basic networking troubleshooting knowledge.
• Availability to respond to alerts via Slack and work occasional U.S. time‑zone meetings.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, Route53, CodeDeploy, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch Service, Kinesis, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Experience with equivalent GCP services.
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Serverless frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket Pipelines) and monitoring tools.
