Talking Head Video Editor (YouTube, Documentary, Motion Design & AI)

About the role

Team Zealancy is looking for a YouTube video editor with strong storytelling, motion design and AI visual generation skills, able to turn raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, high-retention content. The role covers documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led and long-form YouTube videos, and is based onsite in Karachi, full time, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Level is set by portfolio, editing judgment, storytelling, technical ability and trial performance; the selection ends on 3 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery, building strong intros and hooks.
• Structure videos around storytelling, pacing and viewer retention, using B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music and sound effects.
• Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations and visual effects.
• Use AI-generated visuals where needed, combining them with traditional editing and motion design for a consistent result.
• Apply basic color correction and grading, and handle revisions and deadlines professionally.

Required profile

• Understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention, including strong openings and creator-led editing styles.
• Good English comprehension, especially with English scripts.
• Strong portfolio covering intros, documentary and talking-head editing, motion graphics, B-roll, sound design and AI-assisted visuals; a strong portfolio can outweigh a senior title.
• Values: creative judgment, attention to detail, professional communication, ownership, consistency and long-term commitment.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Motion design, typography, layout and basic color grading.
• Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation tools.
• Project organization, asset management and independent troubleshooting.
