Tax Accountant – MENA Region

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Accountant to support the MENA region, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with finance, procurement, and e‑pay teams to coordinate filings and strengthen compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit multi‑country VAT and sales tax returns for GCC and other MENA jurisdictions.
• Compile corporate income tax returns and support year‑end tax provision calculations.
• Calculate and file withholding tax submissions and manage related treaty provisions.
• Validate payroll tax, social security and employee withholding calculations and file related reports.
• Maintain a multi‑country tax compliance calendar, reconciliations and audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and respond to authority inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in tax compliance across MENA jurisdictions.
• Hands‑on exposure to GCC VAT, KSA ZATCA requirements and UAE Corporate Tax.
• Experience using SAP and relevant tax portals (ZATCA, UAE Federal Tax Authority, Oman Tax Portal).
