Tax Auditor – Compliance & Assurance

About the role

DGTX Tax Consultancy, a joint initiative operating in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, is seeking an Auditor to support corporate clients with tax compliance, assurance, and advisory services. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations while identifying control weaknesses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document audit engagements with emphasis on tax compliance and control effectiveness.
• Assess tax positions, review filings and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and uncover exposures.
• Perform risk‑based testing of processes, controls, and reconciliations related to indirect and direct tax obligations.
• Prepare working papers, audit reports, and management letters with observations and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (tax, accounting, technology) to gather evidence and validate complex transactions.
• Stay current with UAE tax legislation, VAT rules, and relevant international tax developments, advising clients on compliance actions.

Required profile

• Practical experience in tax audits, VAT reviews, or tax compliance engagements.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax concepts and the tax filing lifecycle.
• Proficiency in preparing audit documentation and evidence‑based reports.
• Analytical ability to evaluate transactions, reconciliations, and control effectiveness.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and written reports.
• Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
